2024 Week 10: In which I take a Shelfie.

At present our kitchen is being renovated so while we are spending a lot of our time downstairs in the rumpus room I thought I’d tidy up and rearrange the shelves that hold the various editions of my books. I’m very pleased with the result. Neat!

As well as the Australian and New Zealand copies of my books there are also editions here from the USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, South Korea, France, China, Czech Republic, Israel, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Norway, Poland, India and Turkey.

The figurines in front of the Eric Vale books of the characters Eric and Chewy were made by my son Joe who also illustrated the books. (As well as the Secret Agent Derek ‘Danger’ Dale trilogy). He can do pretty much anything!

And in front of the Just a Dog editions are just some Mr Mosely look-alike dogs.

Down the bottom are some videos and the audio recordings of a few of the books – mostly in German.

This week I was also really delighted to attend the launch of Carly Metcalfe’s memoir Breath. She’s an amazing person and her story is inspiring and remarkable. Highly recommended.

My other recents very enjoyable reads were:

In other news the new edition of Don’t Call Me Ishmael comes out in April with a slightly updated cover (on right). Can you spot the changes?

Hopefully I’ll get a box of books soon so I’ll have a couple of the new copies (signed if you like) to give away.

Get your bids in now or it might be time for a competition!

Cheers
Michael
